BJJ Training in Manor Lakes
Well Term 2 BJJ and Judo Training kicked off last night and the academy was full, in the beginners class we had both mats absolutely full of kids all working their self defence techniques. Last night was working defence to the rear choke both forward and backward leaning as well as drilling break falls and technical stand up against an aggressive opponent.
The advance kids class was full and the kids worked hard after their holiday break again working the same techniques but adding in much more advanced submission finishes, the class then moved into 20 minutes of rolling. As the week progresses more and more will be added to the drilling sequence.
The adults class kicked off with both mats packed, on the blue mat brand new people to the fundamentals class world and drilled their break falls using correct Judo technique and then moved into standing in base using a technical stand up.
While on the red mat the more seasoned white belts worked their take downs and self defence sequences. It was great to have 4 Blue belts in the class to help out the beginners and share their skill.
This class was followed by the advanced adults with Purple and Blue belts working their standup striking, takedowns to armour and wrist lock submission finishes. the nights training was completed with a 20 minute rolling session….
What a great way to start the term 2 training off, thank you to all that attended.
