Well Done Kids Competition Team – Outstanding Results
Here are just some photos from today ( thank you Darren and Kate ) from the Metamorphica Kids Competition… We had 6 people fighting today and the team did really well with 4 Gold and 1 Silver. I cannot wait to review the video of each fight as this is how we learn, improve and grow.
Whether we go to competitions or not makes no difference to who we are, it makes no difference to what we teach…. our training has always spoken for itself. What competition does is validates this externally to others and sometimes to ourselves as competitors if this is something that is important to you individually.
The fights were tough and a big shout out to Yusuf that as a Grey Belt Black Stripe fought an Orange Belt White Stripe in the final and come home with the win. Brooklyn used a drilled takedown to Arm bar finish to stop one of his fights in 16 seconds… the whole team has done so well given they only get 1 hour on Saturdays to train any comp rounds or techniques.
Congratulations to Caleb who has missed a lot of training due to High School study requirements and then being sick during the week and he even missed competition training which means he had to be super sick. He made the decision to compete on the day and still took the Silver Medal… well done Caleb.
Thanks to all the team members for the humility, sportsmanship and caring shown to all other competitors on the day.
